With over 300 student clubs and organizations at Drexel, Game Design & Production students have many outlets to enrich their learning and social engagement outside of the classroom. The list below contains the student clubs that many of our Game Design & Production students are involved in as either members, leaders, or co-founders.

Anime and Gaming Organization
The purpose of the Anime and Gaming Organization (AGO) is twofold: first, to promote Anime within the Drexel community through screenings and discussions; second, to bring game enthusiasts together through diverse gaming events. In doing these two tasks, AGO aims to bring Drexel students together in a fun and friendly environment where people can make friends and have new experiences.

Drexel Animation Group
Drexel Animation Group (DAnimate) aims to create a community of artists, animators, and animation enthusiasts to produce and share various forms of animation. Through holding workshops and exploring different animation media through screening and discussions, DAnimate focuses on animation outside the focused area of 3D that is currently being taught at Drexel and integrates that animation knowledge with the Drexel curriculum to enhance the animation skills and understandings of the student body. Types of animation explored include, but are not limited to, stop motion, 2D, hand-drawn, motion graphics, projection mapping, and experimental animation.

Drexel Art Organization
The Drexel Art Organization (DART) hosts activities that are open to all Drexel students, regardless of major, with the primary purpose of encouraging students to be creative inside and outside of the classroom. They’re known for events like screen printing workshops, artist lectures, and field trips to galleries and museums in Philadelphia and the surrounding East Coast area. They additionally collaborate with other Drexel organizations to create fun and exciting events for all members.

Drexel CHI User Experience Club
The Drexel CHI User Experience Club (Drexel CHI) is a campus chapter of ACM SIGCHI, the leading international community of students and professionals interested in research, education, and practical applications of Human–Computer Interaction. They provide a place to share ideas, collaborate, and develop professionally to students with interests in user experience, computer-human interaction, and design, and aim to show creative students how they can translate their passions into a sustainable career by offering specialized workshops to promote good practices in the field of user experience and providing students with a community of like-minded individuals.

Drexel Game Developers Group
The Drexel Game Developers Group (DGDG) is a student organization focused on video game development. They aim to promote the fields involved with game development (such as Computer Science, Digital Media, Music Production, etc.) by assisting students in professional development. This is accomplished through student sessions, round-table discussions, industry speaker sessions, conferences, and design competitions. They also act as a representative for the students to professional organizations, such as the IGDA.

Drexel Gaming Association
The Drexel Gaming Association (DGA) is Drexel University's home for playing both analog and digital games. They hold regular events on campus where members of Drexel's expansive gaming community can come together and play their favorite titles. With focus on both the casual and competitive aspects of gaming, DGA strives to deliver the activities you care about with frequent LANs, tournaments, and other special opportunities.

Drexel Motion Capture Club
The Drexel Motion Capture Club (Drexel MoCap) is a student organization dedicated to learning more about motion capture and its exciting applications. With access to industry-standard tools such as Vicon and OptiTrack Motion Capture Systems, the club allows all undergraduate and graduate majors at Drexel University to partake in this growing field. Their meetings consist of motion capture shoots, talks with industry professionals, and many opportunities to learn about all facets of the motion capture process, including, but not limited to, acting, directing, animation, data cleaning, and industry-standard hardware and software usage.

Drexel Players
The Drexel Players is a student theatre organization that engages the student body through social theatrical events and by providing opportunities to work professionally in all aspects of performance and production. This includes, but is not limited to, acting, directing, designing, costuming, lighting design, set construction, sound design, public relations, and general management. These areas of theatre are explored through the creation of student-produced theatrical productions as well as involvement in the theatre communities of Philadelphia and beyond.

Drexel Theme Park Engineering & Design Group
The Drexel Theme Park Engineering and Design Group (Drexel TPED) is an officially recognized organization of the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) as part of their NextGen initiative. With a mission to provide Drexel undergraduate students and the surrounding Philadelphia community with resources and knowledge pertaining to the themed entertainment industry, they learn about the various facets of themed entertainment at general body meetings, facilitate hands-on learning, leadership, and interdisciplinary collaboration through industry-related projects, volunteer their services at local Philly schools and Drexel events, and provide opportunities for networking and for gaining industry-relevant experiences through competitions, conferences, guest speakers, behind-the-scenes tours, and trips to themed venues. All majors are welcomed and encouraged to attend their events.

Drexel University ACM SIGGRAPH Student Chapter
Drexel’s ACM SIGGRAPH Chapter (Drexel SIGGRAPH) is a student organization that focuses on various topics related to digital media. They have student-run lectures on special topics within digital media, screenings of animated and effects-heavy movies, and are committed to a strong presence at the annual SIGGRAPH conference. Their student chapter is a part of a larger organization charted by ACM SIGGRAPH, an international community of researchers, artists, developers, filmmakers, scientists, and business professionals who share an interest in computer graphics and interactive techniques.

Drexel University Extended Reality Club
The Drexel University Extended Reality Club (DUXR) is an organization that focuses on creating a community for those learning, teaching, or working within the innovative technological area of Extended Reality (VR, AR, and MR). Through group discussions, guest speakers, and projects, students can learn about this exciting new industry while producing work for their portfolios.

Queer People of Color
Queer People of Color (QPOC) is a student organization that aims to address the intersection of race, gender, and sexual identity. Formerly a student-run branch of the LGBTQA Student Center, this group serves to candidly discuss what it means to be both queer and a person of color. The intersection of race and sexual identity is openly addressed through dialogues, film screenings, excursions, and informal conversations. QPOC ultimately serves as a resource for queer people of color to come together throughout each academic quarter and develop a strong community at Drexel.

Queer Student Union
The Queer Student Union (QSU) is a non-exclusive organization that strives to promote acceptance, understanding, and unity among the LGBTQ+ community and with other communities at Drexel University, as well as within the city of Philadelphia. This goal is accomplished through the creation of a supportive, constructive, active, and social atmosphere, educational and social activities, and the discussion of issues that affect the community, both externally and internally. They additionally hold true to Drexel University’s values of civic engagement by advocating for the LGBTQ+ community at large. QSU encourages the formation of positive friendships to provide the foundation for a strong LGBTQ+ community and offers opportunities for guidance, support, information, and recreation. Moreover, QSU pledges to offer unconditional solidarity with marginalized people and communities.
